There are times when I feel lost in a sea of never ending information, there are times when I think that no one understands, but there are several historians who are guaranteed to help me out. Ian Kershaw- How obvious! Yet his stuff is consistently great and it reads like a really good girlie magazine! I can read a whole book in just a few sessions and it all makes sense and not only that, but it makes me think! John Keegan- another guy who is a light in the seemingly endless technical mumbojumbo (some people love it, but it is definately not a stregnth of mine) of military history. He's also not afraid of what he thinks. A while ago I was really frustrated with a few really overly politically correct and holier than thou things that I was reading and that people were trying to force down my throat, it's not that I didn't agree with what they were saying, but the way they were saying them made me ill, then I read a comment of keegan's that made me nearly wet myself because he was so spot on. Convinced me that there is a place in history for people who say what's on their mind! there are many I like, many that I know I will like , but those are the main two that stand out!
