Gregori Efimovich ("Rasputin") has mistified the entire world by the amount of influence he had over Tzar Nicholas Romanov and his wife the Tzarina. How much did Rasputin's influence weaken the people of Russia's belief in the divine power of the Tzar. Did Rasputin's corruption and sexual promiscuity sow the seeds that Vladimir Iliich Ulyanov would seize first in 1905 and later, successfully, in October [November to Westerners] of 1917. Some say that Rasputin had a connection to the Bolshevik party but I do not see enough evidence to prove that.
The Tzar's of Russia Had been expansionists since Peter the Great, Where as Stalin only streched to his winnings from WWII. The Russians were moving into the Balkans, the Crimea, parts of Asia (at several fronts simultaneously). If the Revolution had been put down or never occurred would the next Tzar have expanded after losing WWI?
We saw how quickly the USSR industrialized under Joseph Stalin could a Tzar have accomplished the same result and expand?
