Hi guys,
After an extremely long absense we are now taking the first few steps to re-launch by beta testing the new design live.
As you will see, not all the original articles have been uploaded as of yet and our google search box is not yet working although other than this the site you see is pretty much how it will appear once completed.
I would be extremely grateful if we could discuss, in depths, your opinions on the new design, features you would like to see added and maybe what you would like removed. We all know that The History project has potential and I want this new design, combined with the old team and a few new members to be the thing that takes us to prominence. Before the site went down we were receiving upwards of 6,000 visitors per week. I see no reason why with the right support we can't supercede that with the new design.
As always, thanks for your continuing and unwavering support.
Ben

Ben, I would love to take more of a role at the history project. I am a Computer Science Major and work at Sherwin Williams with the UNIX group. I hope my IT skills can be of practical use for the site and my History Major useful for actual content. The one thing that came to mind from your asking of suggestions is it would be nice to have some sort of instant messaging, or maybe a real time debate about current issues and post the transcripts of that debt. Just a thought. Anyway, I am excited to see where we'll end up with this new direction!. Andrew

I just finished going over the site and everything looks great. Another idea came to mind also... ...it would be so helpful if you knew what you already read or not instead of searching thru all docs. The other thing I noticed is your determination to create something really collossal and it inspired me! So again if I can help out in any way, I will! Andrew
